Mr. Heinerikson started his career in education in 1999 as a teacher in the Smithville School District. In 2001, he joined the Park Hill School District as an elementary teacher at Union Chapel Elementary, and in 2008, he became an assistant principal at Congress Middle School and Prairie Point Elementary. For the past three years, Mr. Heinerikson has served as assistant principal at both Hawthorn Elementary and Prairie Point Elementary.

Mr. Heinerikson is extremely excited about being named the new principal of the tradition-rich Chinn Elementary. He believes in fostering a positive school environment that builds successful futures for each student, every day. Mr. Heinerikson is also looking forward to building relationships with all the students, staff and parents at Chinn Elementary.
