Dr. Angela Currey, Principal

Dr. Currey came to Park Hill in 2008 to open the Park Hill Early Childhood Education Center, which was later renamed the Gerner Family Early Education Center in 2012. She started her career in education 2000 as a school psychologist in the Ottawa School District. She then moved to the Olathe School District as a school psychologist for elementary and early childhood and was most recently an Assistant Elementary Principal in Olathe prior to moving to the Park Hill School District.
 
She and her husband, Mike, have three boys, Mitch, Brett and Josh, who attend school in the Park Hill School District. Dr. Currey's favorite past time is camping in Missouri State Parks with her family.
 
Dr. Currey is excited about educating the community on the importance of early childhood education and early intervention for children with special education needs. At the Gerner Family Early Education Center, she and her team are committed to creating a community with parents, students, community partners and staff to prepare each student for success in life.
