Park Hill Community Alliance for Youth Parent advisory committee

Park Hill Community Alliance for Youth is a coalition of individuals and agencies who are deeply concerned about the health and safety of all youth within the Park Hill area. As substance use and mental health needs rise, we are looking to increase the efforts and the impact of this grassroots group.
While there is incredible need to provide additional intervention and treatment services, we believe that there is power and opportunity in building resilience in youth and preventing these disparities before they take root. With enough community buy-in and collaboration, we hope to attain federal support through the Drug Free Community Support program that could provide $1.25 million for prevention programming in our community over the next 10 years.
Please join us for one of our upcoming meetings where we will learn, collaborate, plan and act together to protect area kids. If you can’t join us on these dates, please do not hesitate to contact us for additional information about how you can get involved.

2018 Meeting Schedule*:

"13 REASONS WHY"
This week, Netlix will release of the second season of “13 Reasons Why.” Season one faced intense criticism, because critics felt it glamorized suicide and might trigger suicidal thoughts. We recommend you keep your child from watching this show, because of these risks. However, if your child does watch it, we recommend you watching it together, and we would like to provide you with support and resources to help process the issues this show raises.
