Cultural Recognition
As a part of our access and inclusion work in the Park Hill School District we work to recognize months and dates recognized throughout the United States and our community that bring awareness to the cultures and communities that make up our district.
Honoring cultural recognitions is a powerful way to celebrate the diverse histories, contributions, and experiences of our community. By understanding these celebrations, we can learn about the struggles and triumphs that have shaped society and foster a more inclusive and equitable world.
Our Path Forward
The Park Hill School District started its focus and effort on access and inclusion in 2015 which has led to the development of our Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB) Council to inform our work toward an improved sense of belonging.
As an objective within the Park Hill School District's 2023-2028 CSIP we strive to create an environment where all students, staff and members of the Park Hill Community feel a sense of belonging.
We hope that by recognizing the different months and dates that relate to the culture and identities of our community we can grow that sense of belonging.
