District Council

The District Council’s chart of work is deployed by dividing its members into four different action teams: Belonging, Community Learning/Education, DEIB Champions, and Communications. These teams have continued to utilize stakeholder feedback to develop their charts of work, aligned to our Drivers and Narratives. The teams have work time at our council meetings to accomplish their action plans.

Our District Council action teams have added great value to the Park Hill community:

The Belonging team was divided into two subgroups:

  1. One group is curating a list, to share with our PHSD community, of events that highlight or celebrate the variety of groups in our district and area.
  2. The second group put together a “road show” of information that members of our District Council can share at district or community events. The information will include a flyer with QR codes to pertinent portions of the Park Hill website, as well as its own interactive website.

The Community Learning/Education team partnered with SWIFT Education Center to offer a night of community learning about Rightful Presence, which aligns with all students feeling valued and experiencing a sense of belonging.

The DEIB Champions team established a system to honor annually one student, staff member and community member who actively supports Access and Inclusion work in the Park Hill School District. This year our second group of stakeholders were selected and honored.

The Communications team continued to create a newsletter providing quarterly updates to our District and Building Councils. This allows for districtwide sharing and collaboration in our efforts.
