About Me:

I grew up in Sedalia, Mo., where I attended public schools. I went on to attend the University of Missouri with a Curator’s Scholarship and graduated from UMKC with a bachelor of science degree in computer science in 1991. I worked as a software engineer at Harmon Electronics and then at Cerner before starting my own small software consulting company, Monsees Technologies, in 1999. Since that time, I have served Fortune 500 clients including Cerner, H&R Block and Caterpillar’s Rail Division.

In 2007, my wife, Sara, and I moved our family north of the river so that our two children could start their education in the Park Hill School District. We have volunteered and participated in many school and district activities throughout our ten years in the district.

The Best Thing About the Park Hill Schools:

Park Hill is a terrific school district because of the teachers, staff and administrators who work hard every day to help our students achieve their potential. In addition, we have so many involved parents who make their children’s education a priority. The residents and businesses in our district also are very supportive of our success. Because of all these dedicated people, we have a real sense of community in our district.

The Most Rewarding Experience as a Member of the Board:

I enjoyed knocking on doors and getting to know the citizens of our district. I’m looking forward to working with the other Board members to serve our district.

Critical Issues Facing the Park Hill School District:

With the overwhelming success of the no-tax-increase-bond vote, the Board and administration will be very busy bringing new schools and the LEAD program to fruition.
