These
are the answers to the most commonly asked questions about employment
in the Park Hill School District. If your question is not answered
below, contact the Human Resources Department at (816) 359-4040, or you
may email our office.
How many years of teaching experience can I bring to Park Hill?
Up to 30 years of experience is accepted on the Teacher Salary Schedule.
How do I apply for an administrator position?
When
administrator positions are posted, interested applicants can find the application online in our job listings. You can contact Dan Heckelbeck in the Human
Resources Department at (816) 359-6740 or heckelbeckd@parkhill.k12.mo.us with questions.
How long is my application kept on file?
One
year. You must reactivate your application online each year to be
considered for a position. If you question whether your application is
still active, contact the Human Resources Department at (816) 359-4040.
What are the office hours for the Human Resources Department?
7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
When does Park Hill do its hiring?
The
majority of interviews for teaching positions are scheduled from
February 15 through June 15. Hiring for most support staff jobs takes
place throughout the year as positions open up.
How will I find out when the position I have applied for has been filled?
If
you have applied for a specific open position, you will receive notice
via an email when that position has been filled. Also, your profile
status will reflect the status of any positions you have applied for.
The status of an application for an open position will remain "pending"
until that position has been filled.
Will I still be considered for a teaching position if I do not have certification?
Every
application is personally reviewed by a Human Resources administrator
and given consideration. Some of the factors involved in evaluating
each application are the needs of the position, the experience and
training of the candidate, and the pool of candidates available. Each
person hired for a teaching position must be eligible for some type of
certification through the Missouri Department of Elementary and
Secondary Education (DESE), but there are a variety of options
available. For more information on certification, please consult the
DESE website.
