Counselor
Andrew Wideman began working as a School Counselor in the Park Hill School District in 2015. After 4 years at Prairie Point, he became the counselor at Hopewell Elementary when it opened in 2019. He earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from William Jewell College in 2007, and then a Master’s Degree in Counseling from the University of Central Missouri in 2012. He started his school counseling career at Robinson Elementary in the Raytown School District from 2013-2015, when he joined the Park Hill family.

Comprehensive School Counseling Program
The Park Hill School District believes that the Comprehensive School Counseling Program is an essential and integral part of the overall educational process kindergarten through grade twelve. Counseling is a Board of Education approved educational program in the Park Hill School District. It is developmental by design and includes sequential activities K-12, organized and implemented by certified School Counselors in close collaboration with parents, teachers, and administrators.
The Comprehensive School Counseling Program provides all students with regular opportunities to acquire a solid foundation of knowledge and skills in social/emotional development, academic development, and career development. The knowledge and skills in these areas represent the Missouri Comprehensive School Counseling Standards.
