Blue Star Awards
Students from Park Hill High School and Park Hill South High School received nominations and awards for Starlight Theatre’s Blue Star Awards.
PHHS students received nominations for their production of “The Addams Family: School Edition.” Maddox Bane won the award for outstanding actor in a lead role, and he won a Rising Star scholarship. The PHHS theater director is Jennifer Jarman Sandau, the vocal director is Dr. Keith Curington and the orchestra director is Suzannah Smith.
Park Hill South students received nominations for their production of “Pippin.” Abby Miller won the technical achievement award. The Park Hill South theater director is Kyle Lackey, the vocal director is Sarah Schulte and the orchestral directors are Ariel Aguilar and Rachel Harris.
The Blue Star program recognizes outstanding high school musical and theater talent in the Kansas City metropolitan area.
