Blue Star Awards

We are celebrating our high school musical theatre departments following Starlight’s annual Blue Star Awards.

We are #ParkHillProud of our students who brought home honors:

  • Ceremony Ensemble: Chamberlain Webster (Park Hill High School).
    Chamberlain performed at the ceremony and received a monetary award.
  • Hair & Makeup Design, Tier II: Park Hill South High School, "Jesus Christ Superstar"

We also want to congratulate the Park Hill and Park Hill South nominees for their creativity and commitment. 

Park Hill High School

PHHS students received nominations for their production of “Disney’s Freaky Friday.” The PHHS theater director is Jennifer Jarman Sandau, the vocal director is Jessie Reimer and the orchestra director is Suzannah Smith.

  • Outstanding Orchestra, Tier II
  • Outstanding Performer in a Lead Role, Tier II: Chamberlain Webster as Ellie Blake ("Disney’s Freaky Friday")
  • Ceremony Ensemble: Rylee Bornheimer and Garrett Webster (performed at the ceremony)
  • Community Impact Award, recognizing the Theatre Department’s outreach to young audiences and performers in the Northland through its Kids’ Camp and Children’s Show.

Park Hill South High School

PHS students received nominations for their production of “Jesus Chirst Superstar.” The PHS theater director is Kyle Lackey, the vocal director is Sarah Schulte and the orchestral directors are Ariel Aguilar and Amanda Peck.

  • Technical Contribution Award: Madison Mulvaney for Costume Design
  • Outstanding Orchestra, Tier II
  • Outstanding Lighting Design, Tier II
  • Outstanding Ensemble, Tier II
