Building Visits

Building Visits

We're receiving a site visit this month from a national group focused on continuous improvement, and they might talk with you!

From Oct. 14-16, we're hosting a team of national examiners from the Baldrige Performance Excellence Program. You might remember we are two-time recipients of the Missouri Quality Award, which is Missouri's highest level for Baldrige.

Baldrige is visiting because they chose us as the only organization in the country to help improve its process. While Park Hill is not eligible for an award during this pilot program, we will receive a comprehensive report with feedback, including our strengths and opportunities for improvement.

WHAT THIS MEANS FOR YOU

Examiners will visit all of our buildings, and they might ask you questions about your job. They are only allowed to talk to our staff.

Examiners are looking for four things:
  • How effective is the approach?

  • How well is it deployed?

  • How has it been improved?

  • How is it integrated with other things you do?

If you talk with them, remember:
  • Don’t just tell them what you do, tell them how you do it.

  • Tell them what improvements you have made over time.

This is your opportunity to shine! You're an important part of our commitment to continuous improvement. If you have any questions about the Baldrige site visit, please contact Mike Kimbrel. If you would like to see our full Baldrige application submitted in May, download it here (PDF).
