2019 Art and Writing Honors

High School Students Receive Regional Recognition for Art and Writing
This is the image for the news article titled High School Students Receive Regional Recognition for Art and WritingStudents from Park Hill and Park Hill South high schools received regional recognition for their work in the 2019 Scholastic Art & Writing Awards competition.

Students who received Gold Key Awards in art advance to the national level, and expert judges will determine the national award winners. The Gold Key artists will exhibit their work in March in the Kansas City Art Institute Crossroads Gallery. All of the writers will be published in June in the online publication “Missouri Youth Write,” and the Gold Key writers’ work will be nationally reviewed for the opportunity for further publication.

Mrs. Melanie Farber is the writing teacher at the LEAD Innovation Studio for the honoree from Park Hill High School, and Mrs. Idean Bindel is the teacher for the honorees from Park Hill South.
