Lakeview Middle School Student Advances to National Spelling Bee

Delaney Nash from Plaza Middle School placed second, and Avyam Bansal from Plaza placed third.

The other top winners were Emaan Arshad, Plaza; Lucy Gase, Plaza; Blake Herron, Union Chapel Elementary; Kaiwen Soo, Line Creek Elementary; Hoereen Hanif, Tiffany Ridge Elementary; Alisha Khan, Tiffany Ridge Elementary; Jacob Bartels, Plaza; Vivian Bowman, Plaza; Lukas Butner, Tiffany Ridge; Alan Gomez, Union Chapel; Alizeh Fatima Jaffri, Tiffany Ridge Elementary; Logan Maslowski, Plaza; Nathaniel Dean Smith, Union Chapel; Xander Wilmot, Graden Elementary; and Joshua Yu, Chinn Elementary.

Students in fifth through eighth grades were invited to take a computerized spelling test. The top 60 from the computerized exam advanced to the district spelling bee. The top 10 finishers earned medals, and the top three received trophies.
