Announcements
We have swim lessons, water babies, pre-comp and water aerobics information below in their respective menus. Our registration for classes will now be online using a program called Active Network. Patrons will need to create an account to register for classes. If you have a log-in that you have used for Community Education classes, that will work for the Aquatic Center as well.
To register, please click here. If you have any questions, please feel free to give us a call at (816)359-4080.
Admission
17 and under: $4
Adults: $5
Kids age three and under: free if accompanied by parent
Adults 80 and older: free
We allow private lessons at our facility. Please sign-up for a lane as if you were going to swim laps. A membership will be needed or daily admission paid for all participants entering the water. We do not allow private lessons on Tuesday and Thursday nights due to group swim lessons. Private lessons are not allowed during any of our Swim lesson classes. Please see below for when those classes are happening.
Lap Lane Sign Up
Children will be allowed to come and swim with parents but must stay in their assigned lanes. We are going to set a two-hour block limit per day to provide opportunities for all patrons to use the facility.
Please click on the link to the new sign-up portal. We have 1-2 sign-ups per lane available each hour. If you are going to have more than one person swim during that time, only one sign-up will be required. All patrons wanting to swim in that lane must arrive together. Please do not sign-up for more than two time blocks per day.
No private lessons during Aquatic Center group swim lessons (Tues. & Thurs. evenings).
We have added a phone number as a required item for sign-up. We plan to use these for instances of immediate emergency shut down so we can notify our patrons quicker.
*UPDATED TIMES* Patrons will no longer be allowed in the locker room when the students are changing. We have set the times as 1:35-1:50p and 2:35-2:50p. You can still use the locker rooms before and after these times and the pool will still have it's normal hours. The bathrooms located in the front hallway of the facility will still also be available for patron use.

Frequently Asked Questions
What happens when schools close for inclement weather? Do we get a refund on classes?
When Park Hill cancels classes due to weather, the Aquatic Center will evaluate the weather conditions and post on the website if the facility is closed. While the School District may close due to frigid air temps that may put students at risk while waiting on their school buses, the Aquatic Center is not impacted in the same manner. Alternatively, while streets may be difficult to navigate in the early morning, the afternoon hours often allow KCMO road crews the opportunity to clear streets and make travel more viable for our evening class offerings.
While we do not offer make up classes, we do provide "credit" for missed classes that may be used towards future class registrations. This will be applied to your Active Network account.
Can I teach private lessons at the Park Hill Aquatic Center?
We allow private lessons at our facility. Please sign-up for a lane as if you were going to swim laps. A membership will be needed or daily admission paid for all participants entering the water. We do not allow private lessons on Tuesday and Thursday nights due to group swim lessons. Private lessons are not allowed during any of our Swim lesson classes. Please see below for when those classes are happening.
Why are there lane sign-ups?
We started doing as a precautionary measure during COVID restrictions, but we are keeping sign-ups due to patrons enjoying the ability to reserve a lane.
I noticed that there were openings at a certain time, can I walk in and use that lane?
Yes! Please try to sign up prior to your arrival, or use your phone to sign up when you get to the facility. Our front desk staff is happy to sign you up if you have problems.
How soon before my assigned time can I show up?
You may enter the facility 15 minutes before your sign-up time. If you notice your lane is empty, check with the staff to see if you can hop in early.
Do I need to check in when I arrive at the facility?
Yes, please check in with the front desk staff as you enter the facility. You will need to show your membership card or pay the open swim fee.
Can only one person swim in each lane?
No, we are encouraging lane sharing for households or people comfortable swimming with others. Please try to use only one lane per household when possible.
Do I have to be in the water if my child wants to swim?
If your child is 8 years old or younger, a parent or guardian must be in the water with the child. Parent/guardians will need to remain on the pool deck supervising children who are aged between 9-13 years.
Will the diving boards be open?
Yes, unless Twisters Dive Team is practicing. You will need to reserve lane 2 in the Diving Well in order to use the diving boards. Ask the lifeguards prior to going off the diving boards.
Can I bring floaties?
Yes, however inner tubes must be see through so our guards can see potential dangers under and behind the tube. Arm floaties and noodles are also welcome. None of these devices count as a lifejacket. If a child is unable to swim on their own, they must have an adult in the water with them.
When are refunds issued for classes?
- If a class is canceled due to lack of enrollment.
- If a refund is requested at least 24 hours before the first class is held.
- No refunds will be given after a class meets. Students assume the risk of changes in personal affairs or health.

Water Babies Swim Class

The first three years of a child's life are the most impressionable. What occurs during this critical and formative window of time will have a dramatic effect on the child for the rest of their lives. Swimming is often the first organized activity on their journey of life. As privileged stewards, parents and swim teachers owe it to these budding water babies to make this an uplifting, joyous experience. At least one parent is required to be in the water with their child. Water babies must be under 4 years old. Swim lessons are available for those 4 and older. Classes are limited to 10 babies.
